Hi, I’m Heather.

I’ve always loved reading fantasy stories, but somewhere along the way I realized something important: the things I love most about fantasy novels aren’t dragons, magic systems, or epic battles. It’s the sense of childlike wonder that is missing in our normal, boring, often stressful adult lives.

I love the feeling that an amazing adventure might be waiting just beyond the next corner, and I wholeheartedly believe that ordinary people can become heroes (at least in their own lives). I subscribe to the idea that life can be filled with beauty, mystery, and intriguing quests (yes, even if you have a day job). For a long time, I thought those things only existed in the books I read. Now, I spend my time proving otherwise.

Here you’ll find fantasy-inspired party ideas, travel tips, creative projects, cosplay, book recommendations, photoshoots, workout inspiration, local adventures, and everyday ways to add more magic to your life. Sometimes that could mean exploring castles in Scotland, but sometimes it means turning a walk through your neighborhood into an epic quest. Sometimes it means reading a cozy fantasy book, crafting something whimsical, or discovering a hidden gem close to home. Maybe a portal to the fae realm?

Adventure doesn’t require a passport (although as a travel lover, I do love an adventure that does require one). Living an enchanted life doesn’t require actual magic powers, and living like you’re in a fantasy novel doesn’t require leaving the real world behind (no matter how much we wish we could). I promise you, if you go looking for ways to live more whimsically, you’ll find them…and you’ll be happier for it.
