I’m so excited to launch this website, which has been something I’ve had on my mind to do for quite some time. Some of you who have known me for a long time might remember that I used to run the now defunct blog, Art. Travel. Eat. Repeat. That blog was a labor of love and an ode to my love of traveling, both near and far. For several years, I enjoyed sharing my experiences, my tips, advice, and recommendations. I had grown quite the following with that little blog, and I loved writing it. However, after several years of faithfully writing about all things travel, I started to wonder if a travel blog was really right for me. After all, like many of you out there, I still needed to work a full-time job, so traveling enough to sustain a full time blog on nothing but travel started to feel a little disingenuous to me. Still, I have missed writing on a regular basis and sharing my interests with the world since I shut down Art. Travel. Eat. Repeat.
We can’t all travel full-time. I know I can’t (unfortunately). But one thing we can ALL do is find ways to bring joy and whimsy into our everyday lives (whether we’re on your annual vacation or just going to the grocery store). If you’re like me, you may have noticed that the world is a…difficult place to call home these days. There are terrible things happening in the news at a breakneck pace, work stressors, financial stressors, responsibilities, challenges, etc. to deal with, and quite frankly it can drag you down just dealing with the heaviness of it all.
As a 40-something woman, I fondly remember my childhood and teen years in the 80’s and 90’s. I’m not sure if it was just because I was younger then and unburdened with the adult responsibilities I deal with today, or if it was because I lived in a time of real connections with friends and analog activities before the invention of smart phones and social media, but when I look back on the fun I used to have in those days, it’s hard not to look back on those years with a sense of longing.

That’s why I started Everyday Enchanted Life. What started as a mission to bring more whimsy and joy into my everyday life turned into an Instagram account where I shared my cosplay, fantasy book recommendations, art projects, fantasy fitness quests, travel adventures and more in the hopes of inspiring others and connecting with like-minded people. But lately I’ve been thinking about turning Everyday Enchanted Life into something more. I want to build a place where people can come to get ideas, inspiration, tools, templates, and encouragement to bring more enchantment and whimsy into their lives as well. Just because we’re adults with adult responsibilities doesn’t mean we shouldn’t also embrace the joy of playfulness and creativity in our everyday lives. I will share ideas, tips, stories, cosplay, fantasy book recommendations and reviews, and more. Yes, even travel content….I haven’t forgotten about where I started!
If that sounds like something you resonate with, I invite you to stick around while I build this site. For now, you can also find me on Instagram at @everydayenchantedlife, where I have been sharing a lot of fun things, creative projects, cosplay, travel inspiration, bookstagram, and more.
I’m glad you’re here!
